✧ November Sketchdump #2 ✧ Overwatch doodles and pencil sketching

hello lovely patrons! ( ´ ▽ ` )

I've gotten back into playing Overwatch recently and have taken to drawing the characters in between matches. I felt an immediate wave of familiarity while sketching, revisiting outfits and details I had drawn many times in the past, almost like saying hi to old friends. it's fascinating how your favorite characters can become a part of you, morphing into sources of comfort and taste.

I've also been testing out a ton of pencil sketching brushes to see which ones feel the best to use as go-tos. I've talked about this in previous posts, how I've spent a lot of time trying out a bunch of different tools and brushes and just having fun experimenting. I'm coming down from that a bit now and am more interested in finding supplies I can rely on to produce consistent results.

💖 some additional info about each drawing:

1 - D.Va! bae of all baes!!! she's just as fun to play as I remember. one of my favorite moves when using her in a match is to fly at someone while shooting rockets in their face. ^_^

2 - NewJeans because of course I have to. the outfits they wore during their recent Billboard music awards OMG performance,,,everything. absolutely everything. so cute and reminiscent of manga and anime I grew up with, chunky silhouettes and accessories and bunny/cat ear hats. tested out a bunch of pencil brushes to see which ones feel good to use.

4 -  painty sketches of city girl and tomie. digital painting is always such a soothing exercise =u=

5 - symmetra and mei! I've been playing a lot of symmetra bc I love not having to aim uvu

6 - moira! she's sooo fun to play. also no aim required. starting to see a theme.

7 - the OG mains. they changed Sombra's kit a bit and she feels so much better to play now. love me a damage over time attack.

ps: 2024 calendars go on sale next Monday Nov. 27 @ 10 am PST! my order finally arrived from the printer yesterday and I've got all the calendars and my shipping supplies ready to go. >u</ really excited to share this calendar with everyone! I improved on the art formatting a tiny bit compared to 2023's and I think it works better now.
