Hope you're having a good day so far~ I've got something exciting to share with you today, I'm shaking in my chair just thinking about it. If you remember, a digital speedpaint was one of the rewards for the milestone we recently achieved! I recorded a drawing I did of D.Va (is anyone surprised) to use for this speedpaint. Here's the final product:
I chose to draw a character bust because I think it best shows the usual process I undertake when I create digital paintings. For reference, the original time it took me to complete this drawing was 30 minutes. I use Paint Tool SAI and have previously shared my brushes in this post. I primarily work on a single layer with the exception of layer effects that I typically merge with my base layer once I'm done applying them.
Now I could continue explaining my process or I could just show it to you. i would love more speedpaints like this with the sketching to lineart process included! i'm always more satisfied with my sketch than my lineart, it's a struggle ;-;

2017-11-10 01:28:45 +0000 UTCohmygoshhhhh what an adorable d.va she's got such a lovely glow to her and yesss i adore your speed paints they're always so lovely to see thank you for this!! i love the lil stars in her eyes and it's so cool to see how you work with shading and shadowing and the headset?!?!? seeing it glow suddenly was just phenomenal!! such a calming and warming video thanks!! oh did you happen to have the song info bcs it was sucha lovely choice as well! (^3^)
