If I wanted a good cliffhanger for my chapters I'd cut this one here lol. I have to think about it...
I screwed up with the therapist checking the drawings of the Boy, the scene was fine in my head but I realize now that it's be a bit confusing because of the way panels follow each other (and that sentence must be very bad English but I can't find the word lmao).
So just to make it clear for you: the therapist compares the first drawings the Boy did to the one he just drew. The therapist kept them and note the Boy's age. You can even assume that the Boy started seeing a therapist around age 10. At least that's what it says. (me showing but not saying things, again :I ) Plus we now know that this dark figure has been haunting the boy for quite some time now. I really hope it's not too hard to understand.

I've never had crutches! And it shows, when Joris appears in the first panel he definitely not walk like someone on crutches lol. I needed to check how you walk with crutches (you kinda lean forward etc.) to do better in the next panels.

A while ago I wondered how to keep Joris trying to catch the Boy for a bit when obviously Black Death is not after him. But I realized it just make sense, so if you're wondering too, don't worry, he will talk about it in the next pages!
That King Kong story just to show Joris probably didn't read the Bible and have that funny talk -
I wondered a lot about this scene. I didn't want Joris' intentions to be revealed too early. If he had asked the Boy to get into the trunk it would have been really suspicious immediately. So I played with the panels: we don't see the Boy getting into the trunk, we just have a shot of Joris talking about King Kong, and when we come back to the Boy we realize that he is in the trunk, with us probably thinking "what the hell you doing, Boy??"
Also had to update Joris' car to get that trunk.

I am honestly impressed that Tera hasn't flipped the tables yet and spanked the sweet devil out of the boy or took him to a high building (King Kong style please) and just let him sit there for a day without a way to get down. Also Joris, darling: you are currently the only real blonde person. So it would be wise to reconsider your actions and wording very well unless you want to find out what will happen to a naughty little blonde boy who thought it would be okay to abduct the ,,toy" of one of the gang members only to come back later and offering said toy as a gift to get into said gang of said member. Long story short: enjoy the next few months in the hospital because I seriously doubt that you will ever survive this. But in case you do: better learn how to run with crutches...

2022-01-19 17:47:15 +0000 UTCMaybe... thinking about how the boy met Joris in the first place and hearing about Joris' (death) wish to become a member of Black Death over and over again - the boy might even "pity" him in his kind manner, and try to help Joris reach that goal... As long as that trunk lid doesn't close over his head. Joris, it will hurt less if you remember that Tera has already claimed your gift (the boy) his "maid or something" - you wouldn't lay a finger on a Black Death members' belongings now, would you?! The boy has an impressive "body count" so far - though I was surprised, because I thought Joris holding the high score on the receiving end for sure ... NOPE! Joris: 1. got his back crushed into a concrete wall 2. got his nose broken 3. got his balls kicked 4. got shot in the foot Tera: 1. hit with an umbrella 2. kicked in the balls 3. got hit 4. got a cut on the cheekbone 5. run over by a car 6. hit with a cardboard box with a dead guinea pig in it 7. got his nose crushed by... the boys butt 8. hit on the head with a clenched fist 9. hit with a bow 10. slapped on the cheek 11. ellbow to the ribs 12. dropped/crashed on the floor 13. gassed by toilet air freshener 14. strangled 15. bitten 16. pierced with taser probes 17. well... tasered 18. got his "hair" pulled Boy... that's some tough love there! (self-defense, mind you.)

The boy is tough, and Tera definitely recognizes it, even though Tera is definitely a tank in comparison. Also, doesn’t Tera joke that the boy is a “walking disaster” or something like that? Could be helpful to have that kind of energy for certain gang activities. 😂

2022-01-05 20:54:21 +0000 UTCWhoooa, I feel a strong connection from what Joris is saying in the new pages about the Black Death members overcoming all their fears and the end of chapter 7 where Tera took the Boy's sleeping pills. In chapter 6 part one, his conclusion that the Boy fears the dark, became concrete, so he took the pills in C7, to give the Boy a push towards overcoming that fear with his own strength, instead of just using the pills as a safety net. The Wolf is treating him as part of the pack. I love the character development in the Boy. He got so much braver ever sice he met the Wolf, and he even stood up to the sleep paralysis demon that has been haunting him for years. I'm pretty sure he will hesitate in taking the newly prescribed pills the next time he goes to bed. Amazing work as always Z-Pico, I really love how you write a story and expand on its characters. Thank you!

I wonder what he saw and was so scared of when he was a kid that it manifested and consistently stayed in his life? Whatever it is, it’s still a fear of his like, a decade later. Doc, help him that.
