Upcoming Christian Nationalism Video

I just finished recording a two hour video. It has been in the works for a while. There’s a popular political youtuber who recently started selling Christian nationalism to his fairly large audience, and he needs some pushback. He's selling religion as a cure for everything, and vilifying nonbelievers as the source of all problems. That needs answering. He’s a former atheist turned Christian for cultural reasons who I strongly suspect still actually disbelieves in the supernatural, but espouses Christianity nonetheless as a solution to problems he sees in modern society. This is a growing sentiment I find disturbing.

Due to the sheer volume of flaws in such a view, the initial response I recorded was very long. It requires much more than you may think. I don’t just react to what I see from moment to moment in the video, the way other youtube responders do. I think, write, and research just like I would with any other script. This time, however, I allow his video to play, and I intermittently pause it as I make points. Since his video is 22 minutes, and I disagree with so much in it, it can easily get to be very long. So, I thought about uploading the two hour extended version on my alternate channel, because I still think it has a lot of important points that should be out there, but also creating a summarized version for my DarkMatter2525 channel that more people may be inclined to watch since it’s shorter. Then I would direct people to the extended cut if they’re interested. Of course only one of the videos would be Patreon funded.

So, that’s what I’ve been working on. I’m not sure if I can successfully summarize it, but I will try. Unlike animations, there’s not much to show you visually, which is why I’ve been quiet here. Looking forward to getting it done so that there's some more pushback against this Christian nationalism and vilification against nonbelievers. It’s going to be agonizing trying to decide how to erode that two hour video down to something more digestible, but I’m on it. Thanks, everyone.
