"Snow falls gently between steep rooftops. Smoke curls from chimneys. The wind still bites, but the streets are quiet, the light is warm, and for now, everything is calm."
Hey folks!
Today’s track is called Lanterns in the Snow, part of this month’s Frosty Mountain Peaks theme, based on your votes in last month’s Patreon poll. This one focuses on the peaceful side of the mountains, a quiet alpine village tucked among the snow-covered cliffs.
It features soft string harmonies with gentle pitch slides, similar to Frozen Vigil, but here they settle into warm, calm harmonies. Woodwinds play light ostinatos, adding a bit of movement without ever disturbing the stillness. Sweeping strings capture the sense of awe of grand mountain peaks.
The art used in the video is from Czepeku Scenes | Illustrated fantasy scenes

Lanterns in the Snow - Dissonant Tension: A darker version of the track with more dissonant harmonies and a subtle undercurrent of unease.
