"The battlefield is quiet now, save for the ragged breath of the last defender. Blades lie shattered, the banners torn. He kneels, bloodied but unbroken, eyes fixed on the horizon where the sun dies behind smoke. There is no rescue coming. Only resolve. Only honour."
Hey folks!
Today’s track is an emotional farewell to a grand hero, a defiant last stand which begins with slow strings and percussion, rises with heroic brass, and then slows down for a solemn ending. I had scenes like Boromir’s last moments in Fellowship of the Ring in mind whilst writing this one. I wanted the track to be suitable for use during combat encounters, but made sure to include an alternate version without percussion for quieter moments.

Bard tier supporters have access to one alternate version:
No Percussion: A quieter, more introspective take on the track, ideal for saying farewell to a beloved companion once the battle has ended
