Mist and Mystery - noir

"As you step into the alleyway, the city's incessant hum fades into a distant echo, replaced by the sound of your own footsteps echoing off the damp cobblestone. Thick fog rolls in from the unseen depths, swirling around dimly lit lampposts that barely penetrate the enveloping mist."

Hey folks,

I'm a huge fan of the City of Mist ttrpg, so when Bard tier supporter GM Bencompetence suggested a noir track for use in City of Mist games, I jumped at the chance. Mist and Mystery has a sombre noir vibe, with a sense of scale provided by some deep brass that play at the start. Whilst this is a noir track, I tried not to go too jazzy with it, so that it could theoretically be used in fantasy games as well.

Speaking of City of Mist, the new kickstarter for the fantasy themed version, Legend in the Mist, has just gone up, and at the $450k stretch goal you'll get a 10 track soundtrack composed by me! So if you'd like to hear some rustic fantasy music to go along with your Legend in the Mist games, be sure the back the project.

Alternate Version

Bard tier supporters have one alternate version they can access:

I've attached a preview of this track to this post so folks from all tiers can check it out and decide if they'd like to get their hands on the full version.

Thanks,

Ian.
