Frosty Fey - festive suspense

"As the winter sun sets, casting a pale glow over the snow-covered landscape, you notice subtle movements in the shadows. Ethereal, fey creatures, with translucent wings and eyes like shimmering ice, flit silently among the snowdrifts, their presence almost imperceptible against the white expanse. The town, blanketed in a serene layer of snow, seems to hold its breath, as if aware of the magical beings hiding in plain sight, blending seamlessly with the winter's enchantment."

Hi folks!

It's that time of year, and so I thought I'd write some festive music! Last time I believe I did some relaxing tavern music, so I thought for this year I'd go a little more mysterious... Frosty Fey started off as quite a fast track (see the alternate version below) with an exciting melody played on glockenspiel, marimba, and other pitched percussion. But slowing it down and adding more reverb transformed it into something quite spooky.

The art used in the youtube video is from James RPG Art, whose work is always beautiful!

I wrote this track to spec for 'Winter Wonderland' pack on Soncraft, a discord bot specifically for streaming music and environmental sounds from the ttrpg composer / sound designer community. This may or may not be my first and last track of the month! My partner is VERY pregnant right now and we're expecting out baby later in the month, so depending on when he decides to turn up I'll be taking some time away from the patreon. Though I do have some old commissions that I haven't posted yet so maybe those will appear!
