"Darkness lay upon the world like a shroud and the light that broke it was but a thin, feeble thing. Age upon age came and went and no change marked their passing; the world was still and grey, formless and dead. And then, at last, the gods took pity."
Hey folks,
Today's track is heavily inspired by the opening music from Howard Shore's Lord of the Rings soundtrack, specifically the opening scenes. It uses male and female choir to create a solemn vibe, with some percussion, strings, and brass thrown in there for good measure. It's more of a 'theme' that background music, so maybe best used at the beginning of a campaign when you're describing the world to your players.
Two alternate tracks for this release:
I've attached previews of these tracks to this post.
Minstrel Tier - the track
Troubadour Tier - the track with looping and 1 hour versions
Bard Tier - the track and alternate versions of the track with looping and 1 hour versions, plus uncompressed .wav versions of the track

This track forms part of the soundtrack of Curse of the Usurper, a 400 page tomb of 5e adventures from the folks over at Tomb Guardians. Check out the Kickstarter if you're looking for a new campaign to run your players through with custom music designed specifically for each story thread!
