Across the Hinterlands - a map and music collaboration with Tom Cartos (free map!)

Hi folks!

Today's track is the first in a trio of collaborations with Tom Cartos, a brilliant map maker and fellow Patreon creator. We will be releasing three music / map combos this month following a set theme: The Frontier

I wrote this track with the intention of creating an exploration track that could comfortably loop in the background without being too invasive. It uses some medieval instruments to create a rustic feel, and utilises moments of silence in between phrases to emphasis the emptiness of the environment.

This track goes great with Tom's map, but could also be used for any exploration moment in your ttrpg campaign. There are some moments of sorrow, tension, and calm embedded within the different rising and falling themes present throughout the track. I hope you enjoy listening.
