To say the “goldfish out of water” shit and “it’s up to the kid if he wants out” was disgusting. Im sure I took it more personally because I’ve had early miscarriages (losing my daughter’s twin, another 6 week one and then losing a baby girl I had to deliver and arrange a funeral for). I know it’s a TV show, but regardless there are certain things that are just horrendous to say to anyone even if you don’t get on and he deserved that punch. I felt so much for the sister having to go through that in public and have to try to cover it up. I need the sister to realise what she is married to. Also, how can none of her family know what she actually does for a job?

Everyone is perfect in their roles. Claire and the dad have become such interesting and familiar feeling characters the longer it's gone on. And I feel too annoyed and hateful towards the godmother and Martin every time they're on screen :D so they're doing a great job. Really looking forward to where it's going to go with the priest, presuming he's going to be a recurring character, he seems very interesting and troubled.

2025-02-26 12:34:52 +0000 UTCI'm pretty sure Olivia Coleman's godmother character doesn't actually have a name. Lots of the characters in this don't. Fleabag doesn't have a name, the bank manager doesn't have a name, the dad doesn't have a name, the 'fucked me in the arse' guy doesn't have a name, the tooth guy doesn't have a name, the hot priest doesn't have a name, etc. I think it's only Boo, Claire, Harry, and Martin that do in the entire show.
