2025-01-09 04:00:41 +0000 UTCCould you imagine if Nessa met Del Boy 🤔

2025-01-08 22:45:42 +0000 UTCGwen’s widowed and hasn’t been with anyone since so not cheating 😄

2025-01-08 22:00:44 +0000 UTCI remember when you were watching the show originally we talked about how Dave is a good guy and feeling bad for him in his relationship with Nessa falling apart. It warmed my heart so much to see Dave Coaches get his happy ending here, he was one unresolved story for me going in so glad they gave closure on that character! It's been a blast sugar tit's!

2025-01-08 18:58:20 +0000 UTCLovely end to a lovely show. If I'm nitpicking, it was a *bit* long - chop 20 minutes off and it would have been perfect. Now listening to Keane and Stephen Fretwell on repeat. 😂😇 Sonia didn't have any redeeming qualities really but the soppy sack in me still felt a bit rotten for her. They needed that "Spartacus-esque" wedding scene for the drama but in reality, Smithy should have ended it before the wedding day. Laura Aikman is *gorgeous* but Sonia's ugly personality completely takes over - such a great actress. Love the end scene - pitch perfect. 🙏

2025-01-08 10:18:55 +0000 UTCThere's some genuinely good elements like the corn on the cob bit, but I feel like the tension between Smithy and Nessa could be handled differently to the obvious wedding storyline and cliche baddie writing for Sonia

2025-01-08 10:15:12 +0000 UTCJosh mentioned at the end of Season 3 that the whole Nessa as a conflicted bride storyline was interesting as Dave wasn't an easy character to root against. I can't understand why they chose to go with a more obvious and cliche version of the same storyline for another 2 episodes

2025-01-08 09:37:40 +0000 UTCBra joke was funny but they can't seem to write many subtle tech jokes, vape joke was also hilarious because it was subtle

2025-01-08 09:24:50 +0000 UTCAlso why is Bryn being a dick for so much of the last specials, was funny when he had angry outbursts now and then but it just seems excessive

2025-01-08 09:20:51 +0000 UTCFor an hour and a half episode they really did some ham fisted exposition dumps

2025-01-08 09:19:28 +0000 UTCThis is the longest episode of Gavin & Stacey.
Matthew Towner
2025-01-08 09:00:26 +0000 UTCThe last scene of this episode, was actually the last scene that was filmed; this is something that is quite rare, but both Corden and Jones wanted this scene to be their last day together with everyone on set.

2025-01-08 09:00:12 +0000 UTCAt the beginning of the episode Stacey mentions that her and Gavin's children will be staying with Glenda while they are away for the weekend. This is a reference to the real-life owner of the house used as Gwen's house in the series.

2025-01-08 08:45:15 +0000 UTCThe actor who plays Neil the baby, is the same actor that played him in season 3 as a baby and the 2019 Christmas special.

2025-01-08 08:35:31 +0000 UTCThis was event TV and you just knew that millions of households around the UK would be settling down, just like we were, in anticipation of one last episode with this beautiful, sweet, funny lot! It did not disappoint! The acting, as always, was brilliant and the casting is perfection. You can just tell and feel that the whole cast are like a real extended family. Thank you to the writers for delivering EXACTLY what we wanted. It was perfect and surprisingly moving at the end. My only regret is that my imagination will continue to run riot as to what really happened on that infamous fishing trip but some things are best left to the imagination I guess! 10/10 for a Christmas TV special that was just that. Special.
