2024-08-30 18:59:03 +0000 UTCI could argue that you don't need to explain that a joke doesn't need to be explained because if a person feels it's helpful to explain a joke, it's entirely up to them to go ahead and explain. When a joke hasn't landed, for myriad possible reasons, it's helpful to explain. Josh has very much appreciated our doing so in the past so it's fair for me to presume he will this time too. He'll tell me if not. 🙂

2024-08-29 02:37:06 +0000 UTCHer name was on the screen in front of you at the end there, Josh! Haha! Wendolene - voiced by Anne Reid (very well known British TV actress). Wendolene is a bit of a joke; she needed her windows cleaning and Windolene is a popular brand of window cleaner (in a spray bottle) in the UK. Shaun (the sheep) also a joke. He'd just been "shorn" (wool shaved) when Wallace named him. There are so many subtle verbal and visual jokes in this. Creator Nick Park has a lot of fun! It's not really solely a kids' TV show. I think the claymation element gives off that impression but it's more general, family entertainment, deceptively dark in places, that British inkling not ever to be too twee and "cosy". It's a sweet show but equally sinister! Haha! Shaun the sheep does go on to be in a longer running spin off series called, very imaginatively, "Shaun the Sheep" and this is more unequivocally a kids' TV show. Far more bright and breezy than the plots we see on Wallace and Gromit! 😂

2024-08-28 15:34:57 +0000 UTCI remember that lol. My dad was a PC repairer, and he had a few people come to him with that same pc theme

2024-08-28 09:53:49 +0000 UTCI had the Wallace and Gromit Fun Pack for PC, which let you set voice clips from the trilogy of short films as Windows 95 sound effects, I remember changing it so every time it booted up and closed down you'd hear "Windows are our speciality!" and "Goodbye...chuck" 😂

2024-08-28 06:59:33 +0000 UTCMy favourite lines from this were "He's a cyber dog!" "Cyber.. what" - as if he didn't know the word dog and "duck!" "Where?"
