Although it's only on this watch cycle that I realise how little we see Adam in these episodes. I thought he was recast sooner.

I've rewatched this at least a couple of times, so won't be leaving so many "I can't believe I missed that" comments this time. Still amazing how much of this only clicks on a second viewingβ¦

2024-09-01 20:52:52 +0000 UTCAnother great reaction Josh ππΌ Loved the look on your face when the body fell out of the wardrobe π I always found Shelford hilarious, especially the line βTo see if we want to get into bed togetherβ and the whole bit when he turns up with some underwear π€£ I saw this way before I watched The Young Ones, and didnβt recognise Neil as the same guy who played Shelford. It wasnβt until I looked up Nigel Planer that I found out haha! Episode 5 youβll definitely recognise someone, and then from series 2 onwards, the names of the guest stars come up at the start of the episode.

I love how there are echoes throughout of that scene from the first episode in the Indian restaurant, when Jonathan demonstrates a simple magic trick. When presented with the trick, our minds start racing, trying to figure out how the impossible event happened, and the actual solution is almost banal by comparison! But the journey to get there, with all the misdirection and twists, is sublime :)
