2023-07-23 10:51:22 +0000 UTCGod that was an absolutely genius episode. The first third is pretty tame and predictable but the rest of it is just so brilliant. As soon as you understand that they created these coconut creatures out of their own pathetic loneliness, EVERY single normal human interaction they have with them becomes hilarious. The more serious, the funnier, because in the back of your mind is how pathetic it is that this is all happening in their unconscious. The fact that Howard instantly gets abused by his imaginary coconut wife reminded me of the way Rimmer's mind turns on him in Better Than Life in Red Dwarf. He can't bear being happy, his mind won't accept it.
