did you see him pee??

Austin Stratton

Was I off base for interpreting the Spider implying he had 8 inches, not penises...?

David Lyons

Agree too, not a fan of this episode. Find it boring. But others I absolutely love lol

Dan Hooper

Yeah, this is one of those episodes that's massively improved by weed, a group of mates and knowledge of all the cultural references. It was pretty funny seeing De Burgh with his massive eyebrows (Bill Bailey used to rip on De Burgh a lot at the time - the mewling, nannyshagging tossmonger). It's not a particularly gag-filled episode, but the cultural cache was pretty undeniable. Having Roger Daltry on there at the time was like having royalty on (Not so much since Brexit). Funny you didn't spot Kevin Rowland with his armpits. He was the singer in Dexy's Midnight Runners who you'll have seen in the Bomb episode of the Young Ones. I think I'd forgotten just how cool the Boosh was at the time and what it was like, having popular culture pointed at you and your tastes. It's very hollow and vain, and it doesn't leave you with much when you barrel past 35 and realise the days without back-pain are behind you..

Ian Webster

Funny that, I quite like Razorlite in hindsight. Couldn't get away with them at the time but I think it's the nostalgia.

Ian Webster

Funny, I love this episode. The only TMP episode that I skip on re-watches is the first episode with the Kangaroo.

Jay

I liked Rudi too, he was hilarious.

After Work Reactions

I love the Rudi character. Julian Barrat is a great character actor whether it's comedy or straight

Stephen Richards

I'm wondering if the first girl they meet is the actress who played April, Reynholm's trans lover from The Speech episode of IT Crowd. Looks similar.

Saul

The music in this show is the lowlight for me, I have to skip it, so this was pretty weak. Seeing Razorlight pop up in it instantly knocked off a couple of points too.

Saul

Same

Austin Stratton

He's named Spider because he has eight... "legs".

Right Said Brett

Completely agree, this is the only episode I skip when I'm rewatching.

Chris H

Imo this episode is the weakest of them all.. what makes TMB special I think is the relationship between Vince and Howard specifically and there wasn't much of it in this episode.. They are a lot better from now on!

Austin Stratton

The "weird girl" definitely should look familiar to you, it's Alice Lowe from Darkplace (very much in her element amid the glorious silliness of this story)!
