2023-06-09 18:18:28 +0000 UTCI've only just discovered it! My favourite episode so far is the one with Robbie Coltrane as the bus driver who goes batshit crazy through stress π I reckon Josh would love it.

2023-06-08 23:21:47 +0000 UTCGutting as it was joint lead in the first poll. Still, it should win a poll soon! π

2023-06-06 11:28:27 +0000 UTCIf JC doesn't win, SURELY the next long show poll will clinch it. Fortunately we won't have to wait an eternity for that, as I believe the next one to finish will be People just do Nothing, in 12 weeks? So come the autumn it should be all good :)

2023-06-05 03:45:44 +0000 UTCJonathan Creek will get it's time eventually. It's definitely something Josh will like.

2023-06-05 03:09:19 +0000 UTCI'd like to see WWDITS win, but I'll probably give JC a try too if it ends up pulling it around. There have been lots of shows here that didn't sound appealing and ended up being really enjoyable.

2023-06-04 23:07:54 +0000 UTCSome of the PR by one or two commenters probably hasn't helped tbf.

2023-06-04 23:06:22 +0000 UTCSadly, I think the second poll idea has ruined Jonathan Creek's chances. Will be interesting to see if that changes before the time runs out. What we do in the shadows is brilliant too though. I'll be very happy with either option!

2023-06-04 13:49:08 +0000 UTCLooks like Jonathan is up the creek without a paddle..

2023-06-03 23:30:38 +0000 UTCYeah its the show that would make me stop my patreon tbh

2023-06-03 20:02:04 +0000 UTCKind of the the opposite for me. I just realised I haven't been keeping up with anything on this patreon in months.

2023-06-03 14:33:16 +0000 UTCGentle, cheesy, afternoon viewing for all the family that has a "15" certificate, has never been broadcast in the afternoons, and was always screened at approx 9pm, prime time slot, BBC1? People are allowed to say Jonathan Creek isn't their thing but these ludicrously inaccurate takes on a show they've barely even given a chance takes the biscuit. It's not "cutting edge comedy" either but so what? Josh has thoroughly enjoyed several shows that are by no means "cutting edge" and being "cutting edge" isn't a standalone plus point or virtue. I know this show inside out and I can safely say Josh would love it. There are plenty of shows I love that I haven't voted for over the last few years because I don't think they'd be Josh's cup of tea. Truth is, too many people vote simply for the show *they* like best, which defeats the object. They want cutting edge. They dislike something gentle and traditional and think Josh should be spared it too, even if a) he liked The Vicar of Dibley b) he also loved Only Fools and Horses, for example. c) the shows they perceive to be gentle, afternoon viewing simply aren't anyway - aka Jonathan Creek.

2023-06-03 10:59:08 +0000 UTCJonathon Creek might be the show to make me start using this patreon again

2023-06-03 10:55:16 +0000 UTCIt's a murder mystery / locked room mystery show with comedy elements.Obviously the premises means that you have to be prepared for a whole lot of ridiculous / convoluted / coincidental stuff to happen in order for the plots to work, more so as the show goes on and we get into almost Scooby Doo levels of explanations.
Danny
2023-06-03 08:33:56 +0000 UTC2 Pints Bobby!
Daniel
2023-06-03 08:27:32 +0000 UTCI tried Jonathan Creek and i had to turn it off in the 2nd episode... Absolutely awful and I'm not fussy in the slightest... It's gentle cheesy afternoon viewing for the family but mainly for kids and nowhere near the cutting edge of British comedy TV that we could be voting for and watching!... We did vote in The Vicar of Dibley though lol so it's no real surprise π€

2023-06-03 08:05:12 +0000 UTCAll I know about Jonathan Creek is that he has a lisp.

2023-06-03 05:16:41 +0000 UTCI disagree. WWDITS is great and I can see Josh enjoying it but Jonathan Creek is absolutely something I can see Josh also enjoying. It's not a sitcom but is full of comedy, involving, intriguing plot lines, mystery and a different kind of show for the channel.

2023-06-03 02:00:39 +0000 UTCYeah it will be chaos! π (great username btw!!! Was brought up on Watership down π)

2023-06-03 01:40:37 +0000 UTCHe said in the above video that every time he looked at the poll,Jonathan Creek was only winning by 1 or 2 / 3 or 4 votes, so he did not want to stop the poll, because it was close and only a few votes ahead Roll forward to next week, something is going to win and likely by just a few votes, yet this time it will be allowed π The comments section will be carnage π

2023-06-03 01:37:30 +0000 UTCIf Jonathan Creek wins, we're in for a dull 32 weeks of Fridays. 'What We Do In The Shadows' is obviously more his type of comedy.
Stephen
2023-06-03 01:36:47 +0000 UTCJonathan Creek was winning all this afternoon and now it has the chance to not even be in the top 2 picks. Feels like a shame tbh. Kinda taken the fun out of voting but I am still hoping it gets the result!

2023-06-03 01:17:34 +0000 UTCFeels like one of those taskmaster tasks where everyone gets the same number of points Ah well.

2023-06-03 01:14:07 +0000 UTCMakes sense to do it this way really :)

2023-06-03 01:01:24 +0000 UTCCompletely makes sense Josh. I'll be interested to see how it turns out with limited options as well. I voted for 3 that I'd like but Misfits is my top choice.
