It was great to see Phil Cornwell reprise his Dave Clifton character. Him and Alan bickering during the radio handovers in both series of I'm Alan Partridge had some of the best lines. Alan on top form trying to milk tragic stories from Dave and the only thing he could come up with was a tale of him being a lazy dad, the most middle of the road 'rock bottom' story ever.
