Chewits are kinda similar to Starburst (I beleive America has these?) for Josh's reference. Just a little different in texture and flavour

Meh, Cromwell was complicated. Setting the English-speaking world on the path towards freedom of conscience and providing refuge to persecuted Jews after a 360-year exile rank firmly in the positives column. The civilian massacre on his watch was deplorable, but it's never been clear whether he explicitly ordered it or simply lost control of his troops. (Admittedly, he didn't lose a wink of sleep over it either way, and his post-hoc justification of the butchery to Parliament is some serious 'Are We The Baddies?' stuff.) Though inevitably, Alan's got his facts all wrong in the first place, as Cromwell was a Huntingdonshire man, not Norfolk! Chewits aren't chewing gum, but not a million miles away: they're a type of very chewy sweet that comes in a variety of fruity flavours.

Cats. Hammers.

Andrew Manford

NORTH Norfolk's best

Saul

Yeah Oliver Cromwell was, to put it mildly, a real piece of shit 😆 I don't know much about Norfolk, but I would like to nominate Alan Partridge as Norfolk's best, although if he was a real person he probably wouldn't make the cut 😆

Ben

Also agree!

Rob Thompson

The fact that Alan has to constantly correct 'Norfolk's best radio show' to 'NORTH Norfolk's best radio show', is beautifully pathetic.

Saul

Can I really, strongly agree with this. They're absolutely sublime, they're connected to MMM, and there's no real way to vote for them otherwise since they're not part of any other show.

Saul

Brilliant as always. At the end of Mid Morning Matters please can you include the two specials - ‘Welcome to the Places of My Life’ and ‘Scissored Isle’ - they follow on from this and they’re so good - you’ll love them, no doubts They’re both 44 minutes long so not much longer than a normal episode
