Vulture's Movie Fantasy League: Geoscar Voters

It's movie szn, and I got The Headgum Podcast mentioned in a Vulture article....technically.

I signed us up for Vulture's Movie Fantasy League!!

If you’ve never played before, there's a whole primer for you right here. In short, you have a fake $100 to spend on 8 real movies for your team. The teams that score the highest win actual prizes from Vulture.

There's a handy guide written by Joe Reid on the films of the year that you can use to help pick your team. Once you've decided on your lineup, draft your team before September 25! And to join The Headgum Podcast league, make sure you include "Geoscar Voters" as your optional league name like so:

Don't care about da movies? Draft a team anyway! Make it a themed list! Who cares? Let's flood the league with Geoscar Voters. We're up against some of the great movie podcasts (and some other great Headgum pods!) but imagine our collective bragging rights if the entire league was won by a team named, like, Consistency of Nirvana the Sand? Also shoutout to user Ant for the league name collab!

September 25th is the deadline to make sure you can take advantage of a fully draftable slate of movies (i.e. if you register after the 25th you won't be able to select any movies that have already accumulated points), but even if you miss that you can still join in the fun!

We'll do regular updates to our league on here/the pod and maybe do some more awards season content for the love of the game?? Let us know what you'd want to see!
