Dan Hooper

its the sequel of porridge. also worth noting the judges voices at the start of the show is Ronnie barker (Fletcher)

Sienna Smith

I didn't even recognize him lol. I will have to check out his other show.

I did wonder if you'd caught it was David Jason or not. 🤣 I can't have been only one during your summation willing you to catch a passing glance at the frame you'd paused on. His name was there the whole time. 🙄😆

Daryl

Lol he looked so different and I must not have seen his name in the credits.

Well Josh, I hope you are growing to love the character Fletch, as much as I do. I've said before, he is an influence on my view of life. Not behind bars though. He's also good case study on sarcasm as a form of humour.

Trev

My favourite especially with the punchline at the end. Forgot this was David Jason's first appearance as Blanco.

John Taylor

not sure if anyone said but David Jason was in this and their is a series after this called going straight

Sienna Smith

You’re absolutely right. I just meant it didn’t refer to a specific rank of clergyman in Christianity, but you’re totally correct.

Charlie

The beginning of David Jason and Ronnie Barker’s friendship and collaboration, which was just as important to him as his partnership with Ronnie Corbett.

Daniel Davies

Chaplains aren't necessarily Christian. there are chaplains attached to prisons and the military from jewish, islamic and other backgrounds as well.

Robin Brown

I love that moment when McKay and Fletcher look at each other and for just one split second, they are in agreement.

ElvisLee

I agree. It's a continuation of the same story.

ElvisLee

We should automatically do the movie and Going Straight as its basically the same show. It's like Yes Minister / Yes Prime Minister. It's the same actors playing the same characters.

Colin Bayley

Scary part is that’s how David Jason looks today, they were spot on with makeup Hope we do the movie of porridge as well the 6 episodes of Going Straight If I remember right, the movie was after this

Gareth Hood

A chaplain is a priest of any Christian denomination attached to an institution or entity other than a specific church, e.g. a prison, school, branch of the military, whatever. The type of collar doesn't denote position or even denomination, the full collars just fell out of fashion for various reasons.

Charlie

I was wondering if you'd recognise Del Boy (David Jason) as Blanco (the 'old' man) and then the end screen was paused on his name on the end credits as well and you didn't notice lol 😁
