Thanks Saul, I thought Jeffrey was being serious at first but then I read it again and the 'this so called Josh' part made me sure he wasn't :) I could be wrong, as you say, some people genuinely have that attitude so it's difficult to tell just from text on a screen but I'm giving Jeffrey the benefit of the doubt. Completely agree with your points. I think some people just vote for things they're familiar with too, regardless of how good they think it is or whether it'll make a good reaction for Josh. I'm just basing that on the times films have recieved over a hundred votes yet there are only a couple of comments from people afterwards on the reaction page. As if hardly anyone was interested in it at all.

Just wanted to second this and also express utter bewilderment at the other reply your comment got. If it's satire then it's indistinguishable from the general attitude around here. And this attitude is not doing this channel any favours. There has to be SOME balance between the stuff we all foot-stompingly demand he watch regardless of whether it's in his wheelhouse...and then on the other hand the stuff that would actually make for a good reaction because it's up his alley. Too many people, way too many people, give absolutely no thought to the second element at all. Some people are even pigheadedly proud of it. "If he wants to enjoy something lit him do that in his own time".

Out of curiosity I watched the end of his Evan Almighty reaction, simply because that movie had no positive comments under the video, despite being voted in! He was polite in mentioning the elements that he did like, but I got the impression he wasn't that into it (that's my assumption, I might be wrong)

Josh doesn't do dissention. Firstly he's a nice guy and secondly he doesn't want to alienate anyone. You can tell what he gets into by how involved he gets. He injects himself into the onscreen action. It's his site and he should step up to the plate more.

There are 4 categories of personalities involved in this Tony. Some people are in it because they are involved in a pissing contest. Some people don't want to watch anything new for some unfathomable reason. Presumably they live on chips with beans, stuff out of little jars, go to bed at 6pm and need bathing in the morning because that's what they were introduced to and can't face a change. Some people are so arrogant they will never question their own ideas. And some people are lacking any self awareness and think if they like something then every right minded people will have the same opinion.

Josh has repeatedly said that he isn't into romance storylines and Titanic and Love Actually come top 😳 At least Titanic has some decent action in it I suppose but christ, 3 hours is a long time sit and be filmed 'reacting' to something lol. My friend at school was OBSESSED with Titanic when it came out, I think she went to see it about 8 times at the cinema and didn't shut up about it for what felt like a year. I think that clouds my view of the film slightly :D

Whether a film is good or not is irrelevant. Is it a good reaction film is what it's about. Talking heads do not make a reaction movie. I do notice that when a good reaction film appears on the list its usually voted for straight away. There's some good older reaction films there but a distinct lack of interest by the sweet young things prevails.

I knew Titanic had a very long runtime, but I had no idea that Love Actually was that long! At least with Titanic there's at least a good hour and a half of really great visuals and atmosphere. Love Actually has maybe about 20 minutes of decent material, but only if it's Christmas and you feel in the mood for that type of thing. I predict Josh will be polite about it though.

Thing is, if you cut out all the Jack & Rose stuff, Titanic would have been a fantastic film. They had to spoil it, though.

Josh. I would like to offer my deeply held condolences for what you have to endure tonight. Life is seldom always fair but I have faith you will come out of it a stronger man. I ask you forgive your torturers. They just want their films shown because they are involved in some sort of low rent pissing contest. The good news is there will be nothing to react too for the first 90 minutes or so. Perhaps you can bring snacks. Or better still dark sunglasses. You have ample time for a nap. They are not looking for a reaction anyway. They just want to watch their film with someone online. Selfish. Comments may get in the way anyway.
