I remember with the TV edit of this episode bits were missing, so he takes home the huge tree, and then he puts a bauble on a tiny tree with no real explanation as they cut out the bit where he pushes away the main part of the tree from the window, for example. Same happened with the Bottom Christmas special, because at the time they sold the VHS tapes on the basis of 'un seen footage included'.
