Peter Kay's Car Share: Season 2, Episode 4

Comments

Josh has a point with "Sometimes the girl's got to make the first move, got to do it lady", men can be thick as pig shit on this sort of thing. I never pick up that girls like me in that way until they straight up say it or they jump me.

Z is for Zed

I agree she did a great job!

Thanks bud I appreciate that! I am really liking this show alot and Peter Kay is hilarious 🀣 thanks again for the kind words man.

After Work Reactions

I agree! They do a good job of that, I'm not into shows that are really over the top with that type of thing.

After Work Reactions

I agree bud! The characters and writing are great πŸ‘πŸ½ they are so relatable and likeable.

One of your best outros that I've seen to date mate. Glad that your are enjoying this show. It really shows in how passionate you sound when analysing the characters and relating them to real life situations. Or just talking about your views on stuff. What's particularly ironic. Just my opinion, I think you are better at it than you think you are mate. I think you did pretty solid job at explaining how you feel during that outro. The fact you think about if you are doing enough, that says it right there. I think she's a pretty lucky gal. You be you dude. I've said it before, nicest guy on the Internet. πŸ‘πŸ»

Such a well written, well acted episode. I agree with the other comments that Sian Gibson knocked it out of the park acting wise this episode. Such a criminally underrated actress!

Jay

Extremely good acting from Sian, they leave you screaming at him to say something πŸ˜‚ Enjoying watching this again Josh, we should all setup a zoom call for final eps of shows to enjoy and laugh together

The way you've described yourself and how Peter Kay in this show is very relatable to the way I used to be. The company I worked for many years ago gave each employee a budget of about Β£2,000 ($2,716) every year for training courses that you wanted to go on, plus they'd give you a day off work each week to attend said course. On the first day of the course I chose I recognised someone else from my company who worked in a different department. She was easy to spot as she was utterly gorgeous! Because we recognised each other from work we gravitated together and became friends. As it turned out she drove by close to my house each week to attend the college course so she started to pick me up along the way, literally like "Car Share" where we'd talk about random shit and sing along to tunes on the radio. Unlike "Car Share" we did also go out for drinks after college and work however. If she was bored during the day she'd often come upstairs into my department just to shoot the shit as well, which often resulted in a lot of winking, eyebrow wiggling and other such things from my colleagues because as I said, she was gorgeous! I kept putting off asking her out properly for about a year and a half. Literally on the day I finally decided it was time to say something we went for a few drinks after work and she told me she'd met a guy on the weekend. She's now happily married to him and they've got three kids together, so maybe it just wasn't meant to be... This was about 2003/2004, so the moral of the story to anyone who's read all of this is take a chance otherwise you might regret it and be left with the dreaded, "What if?", question. I obviously am almost 20 years later!

I love understated shows like this that aren't over the top with their emotional moments. Very glad I gave this show a chance when you started it, thanks.

Mr K

Some terrific acting from Sian Gibson in this. When her voice breaks as she tells him she loves him... Peter Kaye manages to capture the mundane rhythms of life really well. The realistic spaces and pauses and moments where nothing happens, they lull you, suck you in - then the dramatic moments elevate it. It's a bit like The Royle Family, probably not quite as good tbh, but still good.

Saul

Nooo! It was so ironic.. the radio talked over the end of Billy Ocean then you talked over the cutest moment in the whole show straight after.. when John says he loves it.. such a cute moment β™₯β™₯
