Well my little buddy died today

It feels like there's a huge hole in my heart. It feels like the worst day ever. I keep going over and over what I could have done differently, how I could have spent more time with him, etc..
His kidneys were just too far gone and the only options were to bring him home and give him anti-seizure medication (which would do nothing for his chronic pain and inevitable demise), or euthanize the poor little guy and end his suffering.
Rest in peace little buddy. I'll see you again someday.
Sorry for not having a progress report. It might be a few days before I can get back into it, but it also might take my mind off of things.
