August 12th Progress Update
Added 2018-08-12 17:26:12 +0000 UTCI worked on the new event a bit more, replacing the entrances such that it's blocked off by a level 3 acid-meltable door instead of a level 1 acid-meltable door. I've also thought of a way to get the player to actually go there right away (unless you don't want to be able to melt level 3 acid-meltable doors, but you probably do!).
Well I couldn't really finish that event right now because I need some portraits first, and I really don't want to have to go through that event 2 and 3 times to make sure all the portraits are set up properly. That would suck, so I've decided to wait a bit on finishing it.
So- I piddled with the auction thing a bit too. Eh? Well it's a complicated thing. I'll have to keep poking at it until it begs for mercy! And then I went through the Dungeon bosses, replaced Sienna's portraits, updated the dialogue, AND added the "skip scene" option to any dialogues that are of any considerable length (excluding the Obsidian puzzle, which shouldn't be an issue since the dialogue is just a few lines AND it's also the solution).
Hmm- Oh! I also decided that boss retries should cost 5 tranquility, or 10, or 15, or more for refilling your vigor/magic. The cost will be relative to the area the boss is in. Pre-Abyss bosses will probably all be free. Abyss bosses will be 5. Penitentiary, Blackwood, etc.. bosses will be 10, Hollows, Necropolis, etc.. will be 15, and finally the later bosses will be 20.
Tranquility can go negative up to a certain point in the story, and after that, 0 tranquility will most likely mean no refills. It's a thing I need to work on though, and probably won't happen for some time. I would love to include it in the next release and might do so, but it all depends on how much I work on it and how long the portraits take.
But if you save an early boss and then go back later at the end-game and fight it and lose, then you'll still have the earlier tranquility costs and get refills beyond the negative numbers. You probably wouldn't lose an earlier boss fight at that point anyway (or at least I should hope not!).
