More Tower Fixes
Added 2016-08-05 13:34:24 +0000 UTCI've finished playing through The Tower aside from clearing out the monsters. The stealth bit needed a fix where the switch guards were moving around (leaving the switches unguarded). Oops?
I decided to go ahead and test all of the temptation events in The Tower. The monster events seemed fine for the most part (graphical anomalies aside), but there were a few bugs I hadn't gotten around to fixing yet. I wasn't particularly happy with the scorpion/centipede temp. event (a bit awkward) but at least it's not game stopping.
I knew I would have issues with the lab guard since there were at least a couple reports about it crashing the game. While looking through his event I noticed two strange lines of code that didn't belong or make any sense at all. Not sure if I copied them from another event and it didn't translate well or what, but deleting them fixed the crashing. Yay!
The 2nd imp outside also needed a slight tweak (to avoid invisi-sex). Also tested the cat girl temptation event and it seemed fine, aside from being a little text-y.
I've killed almost all the monster groups now. Just 3 levels left to clear before I can make that last save and start working on fixing The Abyss.
The flares seem a little imbalanced, so I might think about adding an extra cost to that spell. Maybe a roll of cloth? I could make up for that extra cost by extending the life of the flare. Let me know what you think.
