Idle Party Members in Boss Fights

It's bothered me for a while now about what to do about boss fights, concerning characters that are in your party. I don't really want the extra effort of writing dialogue for characters that may or may not be in the player's party at the time, but at the same time it just doesn't seem right that there's no explanation for why the other party members do nothing at all during an action sequence styled boss fight.

Well, I've decided to try and have the characters appear in the little section just outside of boss rooms if they're currently a party member. They'll basically tell Sienna that they're there if she needs them in a fight. Adding them all will probably be a very slow process. I'll also need to make room for them (somehow).

In a way I guess it still might not make sense that they would just stand by while Sienna is in an action sequence where she is pummeled mercilessly by little flying objects until her health is 0 or less. I guess you could chalk it up to her feeling like she could handle it, down to the last, and/or not wanting anyone else to get killed by such a powerful creature. Maybe I should add some dialogue to that effect..

At any rate, the story has always been primarily focused on Sienna. The other characters will have their moments, and some will even have their own special boss fights (eventually), but when it comes to the boss dialogue I just don't want to complicate things too much.
