Spoiler Alert !!!!   Spoiler Alert !!!!   Spoiler Alert !!!!    Spoiler Alert !!!! Spoiler Alert !!!!Spoiler Alert !!!! Spoiler Alert !!!! Spoiler Alert !!!! Spoiler Alert !!!! Spoiler Alert !!!!

Great start to a new show, all of the characters were funny, primarily the dad and Adam. The ending really wraps the episode up nicely with the mourning couch guy confused almost in tears asking why they put salt in everything. The couch coming loose and destroying the stairway after a weirdo felt up their scared mom. All around entertaining and funny first episode I really enjoyed it.

Thanks for watching folks !!! Hopefully, you all are happy, safe, and healthy !!

As always I would love to read your comments below

Comments

Glad this won, would have been funny if it won Fridays spot

Josh

Blimey, this comment section is worse than Rutherfords! Bloody punk rockers.

BertFredStan

Well Josh enjoyed the first episode so let him make his own mind up

Christopher Horner

Forcing Josh to watch another bland, forgettable show?

Alexander Bond

Thanks 🙏

What’s the password on dailymotion?

Oh hey, Matthew Holness was in this one! (Insert obligatory 'you should totally watch Garth Marenghi's Darkplace' comment here)

David Lyons

@Christopher Might wanna take a quick look at that original thread, it's insane... Also I've never seen OFITG is it good? Classic 90s sitcom I bet. All I know is the theme tune :-)

Starlight

Didn't mind this show first time round, most characters are funny, I don't much like the brother to Simon Bird tho, feel it could have been cast better, the dad is brilliant, shake we lost him, he was great in Chernobyl too! Albeit a different kind of role, shame we couldn't get some peep show outtakes to finish off the show!

Daniel

And Green Wing

Joe

This is the one British show I seem to have missed, can't wait to enjoy it alongside yall

Is he really I never recognised him, I remember he popped up in Benidorm 🤣 not sure if that was before or after FND.

Peter

Hopefully we can do Black Books soon and see more of Tamsin Grieg!

Robert Donohoe

Awesome man, thanks for the heads up.

Haha, the comments are better than the show! What an asylum.

Richard M

The wife loves that programme, if it's the one that's like a spoof of Tomorrow's World?

Christopher Horner

There was once a BBC television series called ''Look Around You''. It featured Robert Popper (who wrote FND), Peter Serafinowicz and Olivia Coleman. It was very good. It wasn't as good as Modern Toss but it came close.

Tony Smyth

Such a shame Paul Ritter passed away recently. Also Jim the neighbour was one of the bartenders in the worlds end, so you might remember

Aaron

Yeah, Mark is amazing. He was great in Big Train too.

Rob Thompson

Just to confirm Paul Ritter, who played Martin the dad, isn’t from Alan Partridge but can kind of see what you mean now. He was a great actor and as others have said he sadly passed away recently. One of my favourite things he’s in is No Offence, incredible series but probably not ideal for reactions. Can’t wait for you to see Spaced, and hopefully Green Wing, so you can see more of Mark Heap (Jim the weird neighbour). You’ve seen the sofa bed chap before, he was the IT guy in Office and the Bruiser sketches

Kieran B

The show does get better but people don't usually like it because the formula stays the same. I think it is actually better as it focuses on the characters and they have to come up with a new story each week which is usually confined to the house. All the characters are great and more are introduced as the series goes on. Watch out for aunty Val and the 2 grandma's!

Faisal Ramzan

Love this show! Just a quick note on the second episode, it was originally the pilot episode, so some parts of it may seem a little strange, especially Jim he was one of the characters they decided to change after the pilot

Jason

Yes, my favourite! Hope you enjoy the show as much as I did, Josh, I can guarantee some big laughs to come in future episodes! Also RIP Paul Ritter

Joe Jerome

I get the feeling there will be quite a few of us living off-grid in this dystopic future that's coming into view. I'm sure all of us that don't consent to the fascist tyranny will be rounded up and jailed. They're building some mega-prisons as we speak. I keep hoping people will wake up soon but the vast majority are asleep. :(

He was brilliant in Chernobyl.

Jay

Its a terrific series and yeah Paul Ritter who played Martin sadly passed away earlier this year. There's a great tribute here from Tamsin Greig who played Jackie his wife. Looking forward to future episodes. https://youtu.be/3sNl-y_vFcc

It really annoys me how people throw everything away. I've made so much money pulling stuff out of bins and ebaying it. Last year was so good as lots of companies were going out of business, they'd just have industrial sized bins and put everything in them. Just a tip for anyone who lives off the grid, when batteries die it's usually just a cell or two that goes. All you have to do is bypass the bad cells and you can control the voltage by running them parallel or in sequence. So many people virtue signal about being "green" and they're usually the ones throwing everything away.

This is a great show although slightly weird lol I'm sure u will enjoy it 😊

RIP Paul Ritter who plays Martin the father, he sadly passed away this year after a battle with cancer.

Michael Harrop

This show has great memories for me. It's one of the few shows that my teenage son watched together with me and we both absolutely loved it and I'd say it played a big part in the bonding between father and son.

BigChanChan

SHALOM JOSH! Hope you enjoy this as much as I did over the years man
