This was just as goofy as Airplane and I loved it . I would have to say my top five favorite scenes were the first hospital scene with his partner , the driving student , him blowing up his own car ,the ledge scene and the short but super silly scene with Ludwig dragging Jane up the stairs lmao . There not much to say about his movie except its whacky , funny and entertaining throughout .

I'm very happy with the films that won the poll. But I must say, some absolutely incredible films will never make it in the polls, because of how vastly underrated they are. The flaw in the polling system, is that oftentimes, the best options are sometimes the most obscure, so they'll never get voted for. That's why I think that maybe once a month, or even once every couple of months, it'd be awesome if you could look through the films/shows that have been suggested, and pick one to react to that interests you. I hope I haven't come across like a Karen there, I'm not very good at putting ideas across 🤣

I always thought it was funny but a bit too silly, but watching it again it was genius and ahead of it time, lines like a guy saying to woman . “Oh btw I faked every orgasm” and the most hilarious line was “did anyone get a look at the driver”

2021-03-29 11:47:37 +0000 UTCA friend of the family gave me the whole series when I was eight or so. I think a lot of it went over my head; the tropes they were parodying, eg. the know-it-all shoeshine, or the stupid freeze-frame at the credits. I always loved the opening credits though.

May as well pass on the tradition! Also this movie makes fantastic use of dummies. (I remember thinking they were all real actors first time I saw it as a kid!)

It's been parodied and used as an inspiration to many modern sci-fi movies. If you like retro sci-fi you should definitely watch it if only to say you've seen it. Don't think it'd ever win on a poll here

If it hasn't been mentioned - the Naked Gun films were based on an earlier television series called Police Squad (hence the full title), also written by the Zuckers and Abraham. It's only six episodes long and it's really great - funnier than the films imo. Might be something to add to a list if it hasn't been suggested already.

Then when he got older he just got type cast as playing nothing but goofy characters in spoof movies, but often still kept with his original ladies man gimmick he had when younger
