Spoiler Alert !!!!   Spoiler Alert !!!!   Spoiler Alert !!!!    Spoiler Alert !!!!   Spoiler Alert !!!!Spoiler Alert !!!! Spoiler Alert !!!! Spoiler Alert !!!! Spoiler Alert !!!! Spoiler Alert !!!!

This was a good episode I hope I didn't miss any jokes this time lol . Let me know if I did ,last episode I missed the pearl necklace joke , Mary and Joseph joke and I know who you are , who are yah?? lol . The best part about this episode was the old couple auditioning at the end they cracked me up . Especially the old lady after she kissed her guy and her face went from a look of indifference to pure disgust in seconds lmao. The robot wars were great the ruined all of those kids day lol. Brian talking to the kid and his facial expressions the entire he was in the robot wars room cracked me up , he did seem to give two shit lol. I thought Jerry was going to lose it on that kid he did a good job turning things around.

Thanks for watching folks !!! Hopefully, you all are happy, safe, and healthy !!

As always I would love to read your comments below

"Them's your bowels" has to be one of the best lines in the whole series. A quotable one for sure.

The girl that plays Mary also plays Kayleigh in another quality Peter Kay show 'Car Share'

mwdoom

Nice little Tarantino reference with the shot from inside the boot (sorry..."trunk") of the car

mwdoom

Me and "The hills have eyes" lmaooo

mwdoom

He's now on the biggest UK TV show export around the world - Top Gear. That's pretty incredible when you think about it.

Publico

That is awesome bud, they are hilarious =]

Not sure if you know this Josh, but Paddy was just a mate of Peter Kay’s. He had no previous acting experience and just used to go and hang out with Peter when he performed. Until one day Peter asked him to try out for that role and he’s been performing ever since.

Gary S

Back when a Dr Who reference was niche.

Ian Webster

There was another sort of joke where paddy was asking if max wanted a brew so he could get away from the door. Said he had gammon for tea, which is a bacon steak, so is salty and would give you a dry mouth and thus make you thirsty for a cup of tea/brew

Chris

Did you notice them playing the sing "The Whole of The Moon" whilst Jerry is laying there with his arse hanging out? Potter is referred to as "our very own Davros" in the robot wars scene. Davros was a baddy in Dr Who. Half man half Dalek ie. moved around on wheels.

Chris

Totally agree bud I always tend to miss something in comedies the first time around.

You missed the joke about the guy with the nickname "Sushi".....real name "Roy Fish" lol

Andy Quin

I love the Royale Family..like you say: subtle. I just don't think it's the kind of show Josh could react to. I could be wrong. Maybe do one and see how it is?

Hannah

Yeah, i think Jerry was gonna snap but just pulled it back in the last second. After you've finished watching Phoenix Nights, i think it would make sense to just carry on with Max and Paddy. It's a decent show and if you like the characters already, you'll enjoy it. It's a Road Show....travelling around the country in a camper van getting into all kinds of shit.. good fun.

Hannah

I NEVER get all the jokes on first watch. There's so much i've got THIS time round.

Hannah

Yes, it stands for National Union of Students

Steve King

It's my first time watching as well Josh and I picked up all those you said you missed from the last episode no problem, but I'm sure I've missed other things here and there. She said she's doing her A levels, meaning she's at college or 6th form at school (like the lads on Inbetweeners) that you do between 16 - 18 yrs old. Enjoyed this episode, I was waiting for that 'Oh no' when I saw you looking away and his arse was in the screen when you looked up ha 🤣

BelladonnicHazeyJaneII

I know the guy in the purple shirt singing about bitterness in his life. He's a comedy singer called Mik Artistik.

Wilss

You gotta watch max and paddy’s road to nowhere after Phoenix

Leo Collinge

"I don't take none of that shit love and neither should you... My body is a temple" haha. NUS is a student discount card, it gives them discounts of drinks and events and stuff. You weren't far off with your guess! Also, the other thing you weren't sure of was "A Levels" ... It's the certification you get from college (16 - 18 years old, equivalent to your high school).

Logan Jukes

I really like how everyone rallies around Jerry, this is one of those shows that make you really care about the characters and their relationships. They're a weird little family at the Phoenix.

Michael Harrop

Little subtle joke when Jerry is getting his arse checked out the song in the background is 'you saw the whole of the moon' as you see his arse.

Michael Harrop

NUS is a student card, gives you student discount in certain places which is why she was asking if they accepted it. Max mistook it as she was asking him for drugs 'i dont take any of that shit love, my bodys a temple!' Basically just Max being out of touch with the younger generation.

Michael Harrop

Definitely pick up some lines on repeated viewings. Even now after watching this since it came out I'm picking up stuff that I missed. If you ever get round to watching The Royle Family, it's the same sort of deal, although The Royle Family is even more subtle. That show is more of a "fly on the wall" of a regular family, but slightly exaggerated.

Kyle Parsons

What's great about the auditions at the end of each episode is that there real acts
