This was a decent start to Season 4 , I look forward to watching more .Looks like Baldrick has traded in his love of Turnips for a love a of rats and gross fluids lol. The bullet with his name on it was great .The 35miles behind the line joke was pretty good as well. This was a decent episode I look forward to checking out the rest.

Thanks for watching folks !!! Hopefully, you all are happy, safe, and healthy !!

As always I would love to read your comments below

I can’t get this to work using any of the links above and when I try daily motion it says the password is incorrect. Is there anyway I can still view this?

"George, this is a military map, it is unlikely to include interesting flora and funghi"

Season one will be place on the next poll if it wins I will check it out for sure .I still plan to check it out either way , but if it loses it wont be on a weekly schedule. I will fit it into the cracks .

This has got to be one of my all time favourite roles for Stephen Fry without doubt, baah!

Dave Barratt

Awesome man, I am looking forward to this series.

Just because you are being vague, doesn't mean you aren't giving away spoilers in your comments.

Singing my song dude, love thos community but it has a spoiler problem I've not seen from any reactor channel community before

I don't understand people who are giving spoilers. Even if it isn't malicious. What is the point in saying it's funny when such n such a thing happens or talking about a particular scene giving details about it. Just leave it! Talk about it after he's seen it. Ofcourse it's fine you to say you enjoy such n such an episode or last episode is great etc. You don't need to say anymore than that till he's watched it himself. Other people watching the series/film might not have seen it either and can ruin things for them seeing spoilers in the comments. Just leave it, have some patience.

I like the first season! I do think that it sets the wrong tone for whats to come though, so I usually recommend people watch it at any point after starting with series 2. But on its own merits I love it.

Woooo season four!

I find it hard to pick a favourite season myself, I'm between this one and the third. The strength of this one for me is the cast, it generally has all the best people... obviously Blackadder himself and Baldrick fill their usual roles, Hugh Laurie is back as another iteration of George (who I personally found funnier than Percy) speaking of whom the same actor is back as Darling, and I think he does a better job as the sycophantic assistant (funnily enough, similar to Stephen Fry's character in the 2nd series), and speaking of Stephen Fry, he's included as this seasons "powerful idiot", a great character paired perfectly with Darling. So all in all, this season is guaranteed to be good when all the main players are consistently funny! But it is a lot darker, which makes sense. At the time this was made it was considered fairly controversial, as setting a ridiculous comedy in WWI could be seen as distasteful, as it's a much more recent event, and people who had fought in it could potentially still be living with it's effects. So even though there are a lot of silly moments, it does treat the war as a very serious threat, and Blackadder's schemes to escape are much more relatable this time, as he's not necessarily striving for status or money, he just wants to survive. But it is funny to think of how far down the socio-economic ladder the Blackadder family has fallen... the smarter the Blackadder, the lower down he is!

Ben

That was so distracting with the new laughter track...I don't remember it being that obnoxious.

Richard Carter

I can't remember if Stephen Fry was 28 playing the General here (or 28 in Series 2, and 30 here). Either way, his acting in this series as the older General is amazing and mature well beyond his years at the time.

Ryan Lynch

Hi Josh, just curious if you're planning on watching the first season of Blackadder once you're done with the fourth? I know you were talked out of reacting to it, and it makes sense as it is entirely different, but I imagine you're curious about it. I think you should watch the first episode at least, just to see how it differs from the rest of the show. Even watch it in your own time, rather than a reaction, but it would be good to hear your thoughts on it anyway. I consider treating it as a prequel, you've seen the lineage of the Blackadder family through multiple generations, you've seen them go from advising royalty, to serving royalty, to being stuck in a trench in WWI, now you can watch the origin of the Blackadder family.

Ben

Series 4. I can feel the lump in my throat already.

Ryan Lynch

I’m hoping you’re planning to do the first season of Blackadder at the end of this series, If not I’d definitely recommend watching it on your own. I could never figure out why people don’t like it, without spoilers, the only real differences are in some of the core characters personalities, but it’s still rather funny.
