Spoiler Alert !!!!   Spoiler Alert !!!!   Spoiler Alert !!!!    Spoiler Alert !!!!   Spoiler Alert !!!!Spoiler Alert !!!! Spoiler Alert !!!! Spoiler Alert !!!! Spoiler Alert !!!! Spoiler Alert !!!!

This was a great episode to wrap up the final episode of season 3 . I really look forward to jumping into season 4 it has been hyped up a lot . I will keep my expectation as low as possible but I would be lying if I said my expectation weren't raised a bit by the hype lol. Look like 2 of the 3 specials come before Season 4.

1"Blackadder: The Cavalier Years" February 1988

2"Blackadder's Christmas Carol"23 December 1988

Brit box only has 1 of the 3 specials available , same question whenever this happens with shows. Are all three special available on your version of Britbox ?? I am just curious .

Thanks for watching folks !!! Hopefully, you all are happy, safe, and healthy !!

Blackadder The Third Season 3 Episode 6 Duel and Duality

Comments

Stephen Fry rescues this episode, both s2 and s3 finales are pretty weak, the Prince believing Baldrick is the Duke of Wellington when he enters the room just falls flat. It's still incredible how incredible s4 is.

Michael Smart

Dont forget to watch the christmas special

Couldn't agree more. That's what I love about Josh's reactions.

BelladonnicHazeyJaneII

And “ cold blooded” lol

Paul Bibby

I would second this.

Alison Hale

Things I've started saying since watching Josh: "All that jazz" "Extra" "Goofy" "Trash" "Bogus" Referring to everybody and anybody as 'Ol boy' and 'Ol girl' Copying his way of saying "What's going on here!?"

Austin Stratton

I agree with Cedric, would only bother with Christmas Carol and dismiss the other two personally

Dave Barratt

So many people on reaction channels laugh at every joke even if they don't understand it.. so as not to come across dumb or ou of touch.. So what I really appreciate about this channel over anything else is that Josh doesn't just laugh at everything.. if he doesn't understand joke or reference you know it.. That makes the rest so much better.. It's a small thing but really makes Josh's reactions feel genuine. It's literally why he has the only Patreon page I pay for..

Austin Stratton

The 'Trafalgar' suggestion joke, for anyone who isn't really big on military history, essentially refers to the fact that the Battle of Trafalgar, one of Britain's greatest victories, that kept the country safe from French invasion and assured continued British naval dominance for over a century to come, was the result of an idle, throwaway suggestion by Blackadder. I love it.

Since Cavalier Years is such a short special that's not essential viewing (but is still funny, don't get me wrong) I'd say it might be better to do both Cavalier and Christmas Carol in one go, as some may feel a bit short changed with just a 15 minute one off filling a weekly slot...

David Lyons

OK, I've just seen your edited comment. Please stop with this angry stuff dude, it's not warranted and it's not nice. I didn't actually know Josh asked for people not to spoil who's going to be in it.

Jay

They're red and orange :)

A Wellington is a type of boot here, don’t think that’s used in the US - normally it’s rubber boot or galoshes. Noticed those jokes weren’t landing 😂

Kieran B

Christmas Carol is the only special worth watching IMO

Cedric Bombs

Honestly, the specials weren't as good as the episodes, so much so I can't even remember them. I would vote to go straight to season 4.

Alexander Bond

Is that an impossible Rubik's Cube on Josh's tee shirt? With two orange squares attached to the same cube at the top middle? (I'm colourblind so feel free to tell me if they are two different colours).

Ryan Lynch

Just so you know the Cavalier years is short at 15 mins long, as was made for Comic Relief - basically a charity special. This usually means commercial licences for it are extremely difficult, which means YouTube/Dailymotion is basically our only choice - that applies to everyone anywhere. Blackadder's Christmas Carol is separately listed to the rest of the series on my BritBox. Christmas Carol is a must.

BertFredStan

Cavalier Years is a 15 minute charity special, it was filmed before season 4 but takes place between seasons 2 and 3 (Cavalier Years is set in 1648/49-ish, whereas season 2 is late 1500s/early 1600s and season 3 is very vaguely 1790s-1805ish. Season 4 is 1917 primarily. Think this is the link I sent before, it’s the best copy available https://www.dailymotion.com/video/x128159 Second that Christmas Carol is a must watch too
