Spoiler Alert !!!!   Spoiler Alert !!!!   Spoiler Alert !!!!    Spoiler Alert !!!!   Spoiler Alert !!!!Spoiler Alert !!!! Spoiler Alert !!!! Spoiler Alert !!!! Spoiler Alert !!!! Spoiler Alert !!!!

This was a good episode, I enjoyed it a lot more than episode one. I appreciate everyone explaining the jokes I missed in the previous episode. There were a lot more universal jokes in this one. Ray was a terrible DJ, that dude cannot read a room. When he kept scratching the record and talking he reminded me of a club my brother took me to. The DJ kept interrupting every song just to say goofy crap lol. There was a lot more to enjoy in this episode. The dudes stealing the TV, the captain dying and Brian saying who going to over the door, the ladies deciding who gets what he's left behind, putting his dog down, can they get money back for the urn, Brian thinking Ray is about to bash him with a hammer, Ray's shitty bingo machine, the rigged gunfight, etc.  This was a fun episode I look forward to the next one!

Thanks for watching folks !!! Hopefully, you all are happy, safe, and healthy !!

Michael Watson

I think it's rather good. Opinions eh?

Christopher Horner

Thanks bud I did enjoy this episode much more =] That is awesome though bud I am looking forward to a different type of comedy. Take care bud and have a great weekend.

LOL they were hilarious man. I totally agree man I have known a few people who lie like crazy.

After Work Reactions

Anything with Peter Kay in, is usually observational comedy, so is much funnier if you've experienced similar scenarios. I'm from up North in England, so the humour in this show and in his stand up shows, hits home because I've experienced similar in the past but it is a slow burner and can understand why it's not everyone's cup of tea. 'Car Share', with Peter Kay is a similar, gentle observational comedy but funnier in my opinion. 'Max & Paddy' with Kay again, is a totally different style and a more obvious comedy show, that will appeal more to the masses.

Some amazing little background lines. Some bloke shouts out "Is that Steve Martin?" in the club - I'd completely missed that before. Reminds me of the Player Hater's Ball on Chappelle's show. "Look like a bootleg Ice-T!"

Ian Webster

Josh, Peter Kay puts subtle things into this comedy, no punchlines just subtle things for instance the regular drinking a pint of beer while sat in a child’s aeroplane ride, keep your eyes peeled mate, great reaction as usual

Rich Moyse

I'm glad you found this funnier than the last. Once you get into the groove of it and start to pick things up you'll appreciate it more. Then when you rewatch you find it funnier. One thing to bare in mind, with a lot of Peter Kay comedy is it's very subtle. A lot of jokes are quick little jabs, under the breath type comments. Sort of 'blink and you'll miss it' lines. Things to keep your eye on as well are just general things around the club that show the lack of funds they have, cost cutting and how run down stuff is as well as Kenny's constant lying. The next episode is a great one so I look forward to seeing your reaction to it!

Kyle Parsons

Hey.... Tony I speak on behalf of everybody when I say stop being a twat mate. There will always be shows we dont all enjoy, let people have fun when shows they love are getting watched by Josh. You're coming across like a judgemental prick 👍

Michael Harrop

Kenny's lies crack me up. The though of him playing competitive swingball with De Niro on a little Welsh campsite is ridiculous. I've known 2 people IRL who try to get away with obsured lies like this and get genuinly offended if you call them out on it.

Sean O'Donnell

Funnily enough I'm from Lancashire too

Nick Scott

So the two counties you see fighting actually fought a war for the crown of England from 1455-1487. It was fought between the Lancastrians (Lancashire) and the Yorkists (Yorkshire), the Lancastrians were the red rose, and the Yorkists the white rose. The Lancastrians won, and ended up putting their king on the throne, Henry tudor, but Henry united the houses by marrying Elizabeth of York, so you see both the red rose and white rose incorporated into one emblem now, and it's always seen on many things in England, from badges for national sports teams, to coats of arms. The phoenix nights club is in Lancashire, so they were obviously all voting for the Lancashire team. Hope this helps a little for you.

Nick Scott

Just after the attention, bless him.

Joe Gardiner

Glad to see we got the usual idiot shouting at the pigeons again this week. 🙄

Daryl

Thanks man I appreciate that! Take care =]

Jokes are so much funnier when they get explained to you. Obvious jokes are a bit stupid, innit? Brits vs Americans? Western counties vs etc... North vs South... ... Why can't we all get along? If you don't get this joke call me on 0898 154 2379 438. 237 192 Ask for the Joke Department. Prepare to be held on hold.

Tony Smyth

LOL thanks bud I appreciate that =] Take care and have a great weekend!

Magic stuff you doing this show Josh, so happy , this and brasseye at the same time 😭 it’s a dream

Ross Hardman

I think people make too much fuss over British Vs American or Northern Vs Southern comedy. The UK has a much more homogenous culture now and the differences between the regions aren't as pronounced. The same can also be said for the differences between Western countries. One of most tiresome things on YouTube are comments such as "Americans don't understand British comedy" because as we know all 328 million Americans are the same.

Christopher Horner

The funniest part is the floor gets £5000 more expensive in every scene.

Andrew McCulloch

Context is King,<strike> even when it's 20yrs old. and never came to fruition, because it was shite 20yrs ago and </strike>etc. Everybody knows that.

Tony Smyth

I spent a fair few years in clubs like this in Yorkshire, and I can assure you, Friday nights ended up exactly like this every time 😂 come 11 when everyone's had a few too many, it takes one punch and all hell breaks loose. Tables and chairs flying everywhere. Glad you enjoyed this episode more man!

Logan Jukes

bro for the record...its not about american or whatever... there are obv the odd joke that are relevant to British or whatever,,, but funny is funny... and you laugh harder than a lot of ppl i know,,,, funny is funny... and you are on the level. fact. anyone that says otherwise are just wrong lol

mwdoom

... eh ... @ Chris: I'm also big fan of The MIGHTY Fall

Tony Smyth

The two sides competing in the gunfights were from Keighley (Yorkshire) and Preston (Lancashire) in the North of England. The rivalry between the counties goes back to the Wars of the Roses in the 15th century when the houses of York and Lancaster were fighting for control of the country. The House of Lancaster's flag was a red rose and the House of York's flag was a white rose hence the Wars of the Roses. Some of Game of Thrones was loosely based on the rivalry. House Lannister / House of Lancaster and House Stark / House of York. The rivalry is still going strong today although it's (mostly) just friendly banter.
