This movie took me back to my high school days. I use to love these goofy, raunchy dick and fart comedies. I assumed this would be similar to the Ali G stuff I have seen on youtube. I didn't expect this kind of movie at all. There were a lot of familiar faces in this movie but I am terrible with names and I didn't want to call them by the names of characters they played lol. Nostalgia kicked in heavy watching this film. This type of movie really made me think of movies like Freddy Got Fingered, Roach trip, Van Wilder, Malibu's most wanted, etc., and dying laughing. I need to revisit those movies after watching this. I remember waiting for the weekend so my friends and I could rent some silly ass movies and laugh our asses off then play some Dreamcast consuming nothing but candy, chips, dry cereal, and soda lol. While watching this I was thinking this is silly as shit and I'm loving it. I know there are some of you who feel you have outgrown this type of comedy and that's cool too. But rewatching it with you, Josh was an absolute riot. It still hurts to laugh but but I couldn’t stop myself. It’s the stupidest and funniest movie I’ve seen in a while. All the better for experiencing it with you, mate. 👊🏻😄

I think it shows how much alot has fallen when you can compare it to "Don't mess with the Zohan" lol It's still watchable with a few laughs but it's no Ali G or the classic Borat. I'm not sure if we'll see Ali again apart from his appearance at the award ceremony. Especially because he pretends to be black lol

I'd completely forgotten that Charles Dance was in this movie. He's one of the finest English actors ever, and then they had him dress up like "that" at the end and wiggle his bum! lol

2021-02-08 06:46:20 +0000 UTCFunny that Ali brings up Tomb Raider, as Rhona Mitra (who played Kate) was the first model to play Lara Croft to promote the games back in the 90s! And yeah, the movie isn't in the same fake interview style as the TV shows and later movies, but it was great at satirising young white men from middle class English suburbia who desperately wanted to be ghetto gangstas, which was surprisingly common by the early 2000s! Ironically, the character of Ali G encouraged more white kids to go around parroting his catch phrases, completely unaware they were being mocked! (Well, I can't speak for the whole country, but that was what it was like in my secondary school at the time.)

It was boring 5 years ago, I just turned off all TV in 2020, had enough of everything being about Trump and Coronavirus. Borat 2 was a huge disappointment....
