This was a great really fun episode from beginning to end . I loved the scene with Boycie watching his girl hugging and kiss on Del while he flirts back lol. When they decided to eat the dogs fresh meat I thought maybe the dog was allergic to off the shelf dog food and he would get sick . I never expected it to be salmonella and when it actually turned out to be a pill swap that was hilarious lmao . I love how Del couldn't keep a straight face talking to Uncle Albert while making dog jokes lol. I looked up Bob Martins and couldn't find any slang outside of the Only Fools and Horse universe . I though they were making a joke about Bob Marley and drugs at first but now I'm unsure .

2021-01-05 04:54:29 +0000 UTCNowadays you would have multiple writers working on a TV show. It's amazing to me that John Sullivan was able to write every single line in OFAH. Over Christmas I re-watched the 1993 special 'fatal extraction' and I would say in the first 30mins of that episode there are more great jokes than other sitcoms would have in an entire series. This really was JS at the peak of his powers. I watched the making of OFAH and it was suggested that JS would stop writing the show unless he got the 50min time slot, a little threat to the BBC! They gave him the 50min slot and he delivered big time. Series 6 is legendary.
