Spoiler Alert !!!!   Spoiler Alert !!!!   Spoiler Alert !!!!    Spoiler Alert !!!!   Spoiler Alert !!!!Spoiler Alert !!!! Spoiler Alert !!!! Spoiler Alert !!!! Spoiler Alert !!!! Spoiler Alert !!!!

This was a great episode when he yelled at Sybil I thought she was going to choke the life out of him lol. Everything really picked up in the last 15 minutes I really loved the build-up to all the crazy. It was amazing seeing things get worse and worse. Don't get me wrong this is how it usually goes in every episode Fawty slowly making a situation worse but this one really stood out. Maybe because there were so many people involved in the madness. Also watching him slowly go mad was fantastic. He looked like a mad man to everyone around him except maybe Manuel. Unfortunate Manuel is so bad a communicating he can't even vouch for Basil without making things worse lol.

Thanks for watching folks !!! Hopefully, you all are happy, safe, and healthy !!

As always I would love to read your comments below

Fawlty Towers: Season 2, Episode 2 The Psychiatrist

This is a really excellent episode. Basil's class prejudices are on naked display in how obsequious he is to the doctors at the start in comparison to the male guest. They really did an excellent jobat satirising traditional British repressive attitudes towards sex. There is so much tragedy and comedy wrestled from Basil as a man tormented by the idea of sex, clearly isn't getting much himself, and forensically fascinated in monitoring and controlling other people's sexuality.

Can we not recommend something like Taskmaster instead of more of the same?

When you get Fawlty Towers finished Josh its worth checking out the 2009 documentary “Fawlty Towers Re Opened” its about 90 minutes long and features interviews with the main & extended cast plus a few of the Pythons feature and there are stories about who the character was based on. Well worth the watch and it is on Youtube 👍🏻

Scott Williamson

Watching you watch it really makes me understand how amazingly written this show is. No space for dead-wood anywhere.

I love Manuel's baffled "she go craizy...craizy". The naivety on his face, the way he shrugs as though Cybil's fury was some kind of inexplicable act of god rather than directly down to him. Basil slowly turning to him and walking over, the penny still not dropping for Manuel... It's Andrew Sachs at his best.

Saul

I think the next episode is actually Waldorf Salad, which I'm really looking forward to. Kipper and the Corpse is a belter though. That's episode 4

Danny

Awesome man looking forward to it. I know this show is going bu fast.

My favourite episode of both series! You feel sorry for Basil because despite the madness he’s actually right, there is a girl in Johnson’s room that he’s smuggled in and Basil is made to look a fool at the end. I think the ladder part is excellent and “Just checking the walls” absolutely hilarious! Between this and the Mrs Richards episode its hard to find fault with either. The next episode “The Kipper and The Corpse is another favourite of mine, looking forward to it!

Scott Williamson

Love the next episode, can't wait for it. Sure flying through these episodes though! Seems like they just started and there's only 4 left! :(

Danny

Luan Peters.

Christopher Horner

Accidental hits on the bell....microphones in view!! Proper live comedy!

Hannah

Love this episode. There’s not often redemption in British comedies, not in a neat and tidy way anyway, things don’t always work out, there’s no nice resolution, it’s more like life

Kieran B

I never noticed that after all these years...

That blonde though....

Don't know if you noticed the young boy rearranging the letters of Fawlty Towers to Watery Fowls. Though you don't see him again you'll see that he rearranges the letters on the sign in future episodes. Look out for them.
