DAY6 SUNGJIN "30" Album Review | ReacttotheK Weekly Podcast ep. #51

Despite pushing 30 himself, Jarod proves he's still got it by teaming up with Claire to bamboozle our aging host, Umu, with newfangled tiktok memes while discussing Day6 Sungjin's first solo album. But aside from the jokes, we found a lot to dig into on this record, especially Sungjin's emotional lyrics and gorgeous vocals. Ultimately, Sungjin got us in our feels as he lead us through his journey of pain and personal growth.

Thank you for choosing to review sungjin’s album! I enjoy the chemistry between the three of you so much. My fav trio from now on. 🫢 I hope you guys do more podcasts together!

Ahhh no wonder we like I don't wanna lose so much ;A; I see "Afraid" has a deservedly strong fandom and get why it's the most popular bside :))) re: wednesday night, thanks for the info! Now we're feeling even more emo about it... For Nowhere you are, are you referring to the post chorus "ooooo"s? To me the melodies are different enough to not be connected, but they surely elicit the same lonely feeling (kinda like whistling while on a walk).

My top3 is the same as Umu’s! Also I dont wanna Lose is from the same team as Afraid from the demon album (which has a separate fandom on its own) so the song was highly anticipated even before the release of the album. Wednesday night is about his stint as a radio dj during Day6’s hiatus and his first official schedule after his hiatus/ military so it was the first time he got to meet mydays every wednesday night and I have a feeling it really helped him with his recovery. :) I was wondering if you noticed the little hums in Nowhere you are, which were repeated again in Memories so It makes me wonder if the subject is the same. Anyway Sungjin’s first solo is amazing! As much as I love Hong Jisang, listening to 30 makes me wonder what a Day6 album would be like if they worked with multiple producers again
