Stray Kids "ODDINARY" | ReacttotheK Weekly #37

A special guest joins us in this episode to passionately speak about Stray Kids' musical strengths displayed in their mini album "ODDINARY". Form of Therapy, a K-Pop reactor with a background in film production and passion for lyricism and music, adds extra depth to our commentary. While he points out Stray Kids' creativity with word play and text painting, Sam and Umu continue their usual nerdy rambles about the music production!

yooo PD!

Orbital Nova

I'm the annoying one who was persistent in requesting this album because it is one of my if not my favorite KPOP album ever and Maniac is the reason I became interested in KPOP as a genre. I have only been into KPOP for about a year and a half. When I first started all I knew was Blackpink and I thought I would just be a Blackpink fan and not an overall KPOP fan. Maniac changed that for me. I could not get enough of fascinating instrumentals, unique sound design, badass choreography, flawless video editing, and powerful lyrics ("back to cosplaying as what society defines normal to be" is to this day my favorite KPOP lyric). I saw what KPOP could be, and now here I am eagerly awaiting every Stray Kids, (G)I-DLE, aespa, Red Velvet, etc. comeback. Maniac is also how I discovered ReactToTheK. I was obsessed with the song and had to find breakdowns to understand why this song slapped so hard. To this day my favorite ReactToTheK moment is Will and Jory obsessing over the synth line in the verses lol. Maniac is and probably will always be my favorite KPOP song. It represents everything I love in KPOP and was instrumental to my now obsession with the genre much to the chagrin of my friends and family lol. Anyway Maniac is number one on the album for me, with Venom being number two, and Muddy Water as number three. Thank you all so much for doing this album. It means a lot to me ☺️
