Here's the work-in-progress stages for the last panel from page 268!
Rough sketch to the inks:
Flat colors, then building out the background from the furthest back to to the foreground.

Yooo the four 'tiers' of grass from the horizon to the front focal point are a really smart way to build the background here, both compositionally and just in terms of level of detail. This was really cool to see, thank you!

2023-08-24 10:04:08 +0000 UTCThe birds have the same animal intelligence they have in our world-- so the ravens are pretty damn smart and cooperatively hunt with the wolves, leading them to prey in exchange for scraps. I think given enough time, they might develop a more falcon-falconer lifestyle with one another.
