Comments

The reactions that I filmed for the Maestro mv + orchestra remix turned out really, really negative. I don’t really feel comfortable publishing that, as I fear haters will clip our comments and use it to hate on SVT. The reactions will for sure be uploaded to Patreon, but i’m currently reviewing footage to see if i’d be able to put a positive spin on the reactions w editing. “Spell” was shown to the percussionists + we will probably do a podcast ep for the new songs as well!

Will you be reacting to the Maestro MV and the 4 new songs from the 17 IS RIGHT HERE album? I really hope you do.

Another possible career path.....lol....

So ~ 25' in, the whole brass/Fr horn rant...I may have mentioned this before... imo you should try to get voice-over work. The range, the animated vocalization styles, etc... Winky face

whoops, hit enter too early! Rest of the comment below - for God of Music - yes, kung chi pak chi are drum sounds! re: the mv, there's no music in the beginning, it's disappeared, but Joshua has the tape of butterfly sounds and they use those natural sounds to bring music back into the world. That's my interpretation, anyways. What I liked in Diamond Days is that a Lot of the lyrics echo Shining Diamond - not just 'slip into the diamond life', but the prechorus lyrics are also straight from Shining Diamond, and bits and pieces of the verses as well. For Back 2 Back they probably haven’t even made the choreo yet, they’ve been so busy. They’re also still touring Follow and I think they’ll probably keep Highlight and IDUBILU for the rest of the Follow tour, but one day… I am also really looking forward to the performance for this. We haven't had a hype performance team song in a while. re: Monster, Hip Hop unit songs are often a little out of place on Seventeen’s mini-albums, tbh - like GAM3 BO1 in Your Choice. I do like Monster, I think the refrain is just catchy enough that I don’t mind it repeating that much. And I like the doorbell and the other sounds they used. Yawn grew on me because it’s not as dramatic as Habit, tbh. I tend to like ballads that are more understated, and I think the vocal delivery suits the lyrics a lot; they feel like a yawn. I do think there’s other Seventeen ballads I like more, but I still like it. And the lyrics hurt a lot, in a good way. Headliner is definitely made for a concert encore. I hadn't connected it to Spring Day at all before, but I do see it now that you said it.

I agree with Colton that the production in SOS felt off to me - compared to 2 Minus 1 or Darl+ing, I had a much harder time understanding the lyrics even though it's an all-English song.

I was so excited to hear your guys' thoughts on God of Music and now we have a whole album review! Yay! I agree that this was a return to an older Seventeen sound and liked it a lot because of that. Umu, seeing you geek out over the music video made me so happy!
