On the basis of performance, it had all the right elements but i felt the abrupt stop in the flow when Minhyuk went into the fight sequence. Personally i would've liked them to continue singing like it's an drama OST to aid to the action.

It is a step up from their intro stage, but I feel they still have a lot more they can showcase and bring to the table. I’m VERY MUCH looking forward to their performance in the next round though because of the round theme...

2021-04-21 16:32:53 +0000 UTCThe expert voting for round 1 has received a lot of controversy due to how Mnet conducted it. Mnet have yet to disclose the criteria that the experts use when voting for their top 3. I'm pretty sure the experts watched all performances via stream link before voting, but they didn't provide any feedback explaining their vote afaik. They also weren't told beforehand about the budget discrepancy between performances and whether the groups were singing live or not so they had to figure it out for themselves. Edit: They revealed some comments from the experts regarding the round 1 performances in ep 4.

All the groups are bring something new to the table, but BTOB chooses to lean on the vocal part (that they are amazing) and it's becoming a little under the expectation. Other thing that I didn't like was the ranking... comparing to all the other performances, in my opinion, they should be in last place (even though it was a great performance from them)
