A recurring point of feedback for Pixelbee games to date is that the animated content in our games could be more dynamic or interactive.
After some thinking on how we can address that, now we can show off some experiments in Godot to try and facilitate interactivity. The core art style will remain hand-drawn pixel art sprites, but we can also have a full 3D environment (with pixel art textures, of course!) This allows for some parallax camera movement, re-usable backgrounds, and also some lighting and atmospheric effects.
We are also building some game play and interactivity around this feature too, but that will be for another time!
