Also she just wanted to protect her cult group and she thought lying and saying she had the blood of the king would save them. Instead they ended up getting turned into mindless titans (this is when Ymir started wandering for 60 years - believe she is 77ish now but physically is 17 O.O) Later, she ate Marcel from Reiner's group and was able to become human again (this will make sense down the road how she became human again - personally don't think its a spoiler but I'll leave it out) I love how Ymir becomes true to herself and will never lie to herself again after this even if those lies are what made her feel needed by others, even if it means she will be seen as the "shittiest" person in the world. She definetely sees her old self in Christa and grew a deep connection with her through that. Rewatches tend to make it make more sense haha Also, when Ymir was saying she will turn into a titan and take Eren. She was basically giving them an ultimatum: 'Either you help me get Christa, or I cause chaos for you' and it seems like Reiner and Bertholt agreed to get Christa back hence why she was working with them at the end. Kinda a long explanation but hope this helps, love your reactions! :)
