2025-10-07 20:44:29 +0000 UTCSo it’s long since been scrubbed from the internet but there was a guy called Scott Bowden, who wrote for moviepoopshoot, Kevin Smith’s pop culture site from back in the early 2000s, and his column was Kentucky Fried Rasslin. He worked in Memphis and was friends with Kevin Lawler, Jerry’s son. He did apply to be a writer for the wwf in 2002 and one of his proposed storylines was that Jericho and Steph had been having an affair which would be revealed in the build to mania 18. He said that it had been noted to be shown to Steph who was the head writer at the time, but went nowhere. I get the feeling that hhh nixed any story where Steph or hhh cheated on the other, probably out of a healthy fear of wrestling stories becoming reality, but that’s just my supposition.
