[Compendium] - Across the Furnal Bridge

Since switching to non-upfront payment to avoid double-charging patrons, I'll be trying to release compendiums on the 25th each month instead of 4th week of month.

I thought I had planned rather well at the start of the month - about 20 items, 3 monsters, and perhaps a couple pages of lore for the Furnal Planes. Somehow, as the planes developed, it ballooned to 38 pages of content which is the most pages I've produced in a very long time. Broken record, but I'll keep repeating that the intended length is 20 pages because 1) I don't sleep enough and 2) it's a disclaimer; I don't want new patrons expect this much content in the future.

In the end I'm really proud of how much text I pushed out this time. There's a lot of creepy, scary, or dangerous places in the 3 Furnal Planes. The Watchful Void, the Lost and Found, the Liminal Fields, and the Crawling Wall are my favorites. I don't think 12 pages is really enough to cover three entire planes of existence so in the future I'll probably limit the scope so I don't get caught up in developing it. The 3 archfiends are also pretty cool and I can imagine a battle with them would be pretty exciting. I really like the Sombragon and should make for a pretty cool fight.

I was always interested in doing something fiend-themed after learning about their planar alignments. I tried doing something different for this version, but in the end I wasn't able design something could work on its own while remaining adaptable to basic 5e. I hope the thematic focus on breaking the mind, spirit, and body was an interesting take though.
