A fun fight for any adventuring party, but a flexible RP tool for any GM. Does your god need something to happen for your story? Possess an expendable NPC and turn them into a Burning Edict. But really only if your god is evil or chaotic.

Gods typically tamper with the mortal realm through their devotees. They recruit priests to effect small steady change and wield specially-chosen champions like a scalpel across the planes. But in dire situations where no worshiper is available, a god may thrust their celestial presence upon an unwilling individual, transforming them into a divine puppet impaled with a single divine command. These mortals untrained in worship often cannot physically handle the possession and simply immolates from the overwhelming energy, wracked in silent torturous pain. Their minds are so broken from the ordeal that when their directive is complete and the deity leaves, they remain a simple undead husk. Some gods refuse this technique, seeing them as an equally cruel reflection of demonic possession.
