Sand sculptures are sometimes animated by wizards or master craftsmen to add flair to their creations. These minor enchantments tend to be harmless, ranging from a waving hand to a billowing flag, and ends when its purpose is served. In rare cases, sand sculptures may be animated by mages with ill intent or even the remnants of magical wastes washed onto beaches from upstream. These mindless constructs summon reflections of their most common features — a castle wall — into labyrinthian cages through which the sculpture can move and attack unimpeded.

There's a couple ways to implement these and serves as a fun break during the beach sessions. A fun way to kill it is using water, which could make it less of a combat and more of a puzzle for "how do I get water here?"
They also don't have to be castles! I only used a castle because it'd be the most recognizable sand sculpture, but they can be anything sculpted from sand!
