[Infinity] Monster - Temporal Malefice

These were originally designed as mooks for Infinity Guard to fight and protect things from. Visually, I wanted an eldritch vibe but I settled for a more familiar beast-like body. They are best suited for investigative adventures — discovering a trail of aged bodies or children suddenly transformed into adults, until you track down the temporal malefice responsible. It's straightforward in battle, but the aging effect can stack up for careless adventurers.

I really like the malefice name, so I hope to one day make more malefices for other cool things like dimensional, death, or energy malefices.

A malefice is an aberration from distant realms that feeds on intangible natural forces of the cosmos. They tend to feed on one kind of energy that makes up the multiverse such as time, dimensions, or elements, and in turn take on characteristics of that energy. If left unchecked, malefices in large numbers can potentially disrupt the laws of the world itself.

Temporal malefices primarily feed on the Finite Continuum where temporal energy flows. They each have a faceless tentacled maw mounted on four powerful legs, covered in a body of pock-marked skin emitting temporal smoke that flows faster than it should. Their movements trail smears of afterimages like frozen moments in time. Their kind are often found near breaches into the Finite Continuum, absorbing the lifespan of creatures on the prime material plane and causing premature deaths. Such disruptions to fate draws the ire and attention of the Infinity Guard, sworn to remove such extratemporal threats.
