He’s so good at improv, and there’s such a fresh energy to mixing it up! I’m also so glad that they decided not to be slaves to the name of the podcast. Trying to wedge in fatherhood stuff and themes was clearly burning them all out— embracing the goofiness again with a world unconcerned with daddies stuff is so much more fun for everyone, and I hope they’ll continue to follow whatever inspires them first and foremost in future seasons!

IMO Season 1 will always be my favorite but Season 2 is by no means bad. My coworkers know if I’m listening to the dads based on how often I cackle out loud, and the number per episode is consistent regardless of season.

We see/hear about how Shane practically tortured Francis throughout the years, so him shooting Shane at least makes sense. He hit his limit. Jenkins is mainly just annoying (to the characters). We don’t actually see him hurt anyone. Francis doesn’t kill Jenkins because he wants to help the Bigfoot/swam people or because he’s a Nazi, it’s only because he’s annoyed and not being obeyed. Jenkins isn’t killed out of self preservation, it’s strictly out of the need for control.

2025-02-19 18:41:31 +0000 UTCI’m certain this is too late to be any use, but what I have done before with the maze… Make yourself a secondary “master” copy, which has encounters listed by where they are IN the maze (basically dots at certain intersections / paths) and then let them run the maze. When they are done, compare the result to the master copy, and total how many encounters they came across on the route they chose. Then run the encounters back-to-back, with quick roleplay of moving through the maze between them. (This works best with short, low-level encounters, as it’s more a gauntlet run than anything) Recommend!

Still a better show than 90% of content at that rate but if someone shows you the sun the moon may not seem as bright despite not, like, trying to be the sun, mom! There's a lot of Matt absolutely crushing as Link though, the truth serum scene is an all-timer.
